The Maison Shéron Ashtray is conceived as an instrument of ritual and an object of permanence.
Its architecture begins with the cigar itself: its diameter, its weight, the position of the hand and the moment in which it is placed at rest. From those considerations emerges an object defined by proportion, mass and precision.
Integrated cigar rests are incorporated into the geometry rather than added as separate gestures. The resulting form has a sculptural presence even when not in use, allowing the Ashtray to exist simultaneously as a functional instrument and a tabletop object.
Created within the world of Spirit of Artisans, it shares the same philosophy as the trunk and its accompanying instruments: objects surrounding a ritual should be considered with the same seriousness as the ritual itself.
